St. Pancras International is set to become a vibrant showcase for French innovation and British charm this summer. From July 22 to August 11, the iconic London station will host an eye-catching display celebrating the arrival of the Renault 5 E-Tech 100% electric—a vehicle poised to make waves in the world of compact electric cars.
The display will feature a charming recreation of a Parisian cobbled street right in the heart of St. Pancras’ main concourse. At the center of this eclectic setup stands the new Renault 5 E-Tech 100% electric, sporting a Union Jack on its roof. Beside it, visitors will encounter a British telephone box adorned with a Renault-themed makeover. This playful fusion of British and French elements embodies the spirit of the Renault 5, a car that bridges cultures with its blend of nostalgic charm and cutting-edge technology.
David Isherwood, Marketing Director at Renault UK, expressed excitement about the display, noting, “The original Renault 5 charmed the nation with its sense of fun and innovative style. Now the Renault 5 is back, reinvented to bring some excitement to the world of compact electric vehicles, and it’s keen to pick up its mantle as a cultural icon.” He continued, “For many people, this will be their first chance to see the new Renault 5 E-Tech 100% electric before it arrives officially on our shores next year and get acquainted with its heart-winning design and cutting-edge technology.”
The Renault 5 E-Tech 100% electric is not just a nod to the past but a leap into the future. Its design remains true to the spirit of the 2021 concept car while integrating modern features like the all-electric AmpR platform. With a driving range of up to 248 miles on a single charge (pending WLTP certification), this vehicle promises both style and practicality. Scheduled to debut in the UK in Q1 2025, eager customers can secure their place in line with an R-Pass for £150, allowing them to place orders 10 days before the general public.
Adding a touch of exclusivity to the experience, a limited number of scale models of the Renault 5 E-Tech 100% electric will be available for visitors to take home, each adorned with the same patriotic livery.
This summer spectacle at St. Pancras International not only celebrates the Renault 5’s rich legacy but also highlights the evolving landscape of electric vehicles. As visitors traverse this temporary Parisian enclave, they will encounter a symbol of modern automotive excellence, and perhaps, catch a glimpse of the future of electric mobility.
